LEDs are present-day’s modern lighting solution, and the basis of all light sources in the future. It’s not surprising that more and more businesses, municipalities, and private households are making the transition to LED lighting. Innovative LED technology is defined by an ecological responsibility, since lower energy use means protecting the environment.
In many companies, LEDs are replacing conventional fluorescent tube lighting with all their disadvantages. These disadvantages include illuminating gas or the subconsciously perceived flickering that occurs through longer operating times, even with electronic ballasts. In addition to all the ecological benefits that come with LED lighting, cost efficiency is an important factor in decision-making. After all, your electricity use can be reduced up to 65%!
LED Cold Storage Lighting Reduces the Thermal Load
The mentioned electricity use of up to 65 percent refers exclusively to the consumption value of LED lighting. In cold storages and cooling chambers, the general thermal load of the lighting must be considered. The higher a light’s heat output, the more this will influence the energy required for cooling. LEDs are especially suitable for cold storages, since they are not sensitive to the cold. As such, the light output increases and you save a huge amount of energy.
This alone speaks in favour of switching your conventional cold storage lighting to LED. For this application field, our range includes efficient T8 LED tubes, LED light strips, as well as LED high bay luminaires. All these products are designed in our tech laboratory, and are manufactured in our production facility in Oldenburg.
Reduce the thermal load and switch to efficient LED lighting in your cold storage. In this way, you can reduce operating costs for lighting and the cooling chamber at once.
Minimum Requirements for Lighting in Cold Storages According to DIN EN 12454-1
As in all business areas, lighting guidelines for storage facilities, workplaces, and production centres are defined in the DIN EN 12464-1. For pantries and storage rooms, including cold storages, lighting of at least 100 lux is required. If a dispatch and packaging area is also integrated, the minimum lighting requirements are raised to 300 lux.
These requirements are fulfilled with our industrial LED lighting without any problems, by renting them and profiting from reduced costs. After deduction of rent, the savings made in lighting can be as high as 35 percent. In the case of cold storages, savings made from the significantly reduced thermal load should additionally be considered.
Lichtmiete Industrial LED Lighting Loves the Challenge
With over 100.000 operating hours and up to 300.000 switch cycles, our LED tubes, hall lighting, and light strips are very durable products. Made of aluminium and polycarbonate, our products are defined by resilience and low maintenance.
Through the notably low thermal load and temperature differences, our lighting is suitable for application in locations with temperatures ranging from –35 °C to +50 °C. They are designed for all business areas, while a seamless lighting concept from the cooling storage to other storage areas is realizable without problems. Additional important characteristics include their flicker-free and homogenous radiance, as well as instant light output.
An additional benefit: By renting our lights you don’t have to worry about anything. When you rent our lights you will receive an all-around service, from the light planning stage to the installation—risk-free! Make use of the benefits of LED technology, renting industrial LED lighting, and the high-end quality of our products for your cold storage lighting.
