LED Car Park and Underground Parking Lot Lighting – more security at a lower cost

Your customers have all experienced it: the unpleasant feeling of being in a dark car park or underground parking lot. Poorly lit peripheral areas and dark corners are still a reality today. We owe these situations to the high costs involved in installing lighting across large areas. The solution for car parks and underground parking lots is to install modern LED lighting. These new products reduce electricity use up to 65%. At the same time, security is strengthened and your parking space will be more used.

The lighting installed in many older car parks and underground parking lots is often not satisfactory for operators as well as customers. A lot of the time, outmoded neon tubes have been put in place, which make lighting up large areas uneconomical. This led to a compromised solution, resulting in countless dark areas in car parks and underground parking lots.

Another point of criticism to fluorescent tubes is their unpleasant flickering. Ballasts manage to minimize this, but the human eye manages to subconsciously acknowledge it. These solutions are minimum requirements in accordance with DIN EN 12464-1, but nonetheless, the user’s feeling of security remains affected.

Our fluorescent tubes are based on LED technology; they do not flicker and are cost effective at once. Moreover, they meet the minimum requirements for car park lighting. This way, you can offer your customers a pleasant lighting experience and can reduce costs at the same time. Heighten your customer’s subjective sense of security and improve your cost structure by way of optimized car park lighting.

Minimum Requirements for Parking Lot Lighting

One of the most important demands per DIN EN 12464-1 to parking lot lighting and underground parking lots is the overlaying of light beams at a larger height. The goal is complete illumination in the specified areas. In doing so, shadow casting must be avoided, to avoid an effect of visual disruption.

Entrances and exits in a parking lot must have an illuminance (lux) of 300, while in the dark, 75 lux is necessary. Inside parking garages and underground parking lots, the DIN EN 12464-1 states that driving areas, parking areas, as well as spaces relevant to security and orientation, must have lighting of at least 75 lux. In the immediate surroundings of parking metres, the illumination must be 300 lux. These are the high demands placed to lighting concepts for parking garages and underground parking lots.

Optimise your parking garage lighting or the lighting of your underground parking lot and cut costs at the same time.

Optimised Parking Garage Lighting and Lowered Costs At The Same Time

The long-term, cost-effective alternative is changing to LED lighting. LED lighting is defined by longevity and low maintenance costs, and a radically-reduced use of electricity of up to 65%. Our fluorescent LED tubes are defined by their energy efficiency that is perfectly suited for full illumination of parking garages and underground parking lots, without unpleasant dark areas that you find in many parking spaces. This strengthens the security of both your parking garage and that of its users.

Dimmable Parking Garage and Underground Parking Lot Lighting

Our self-developed, fluorescent LED tubes are dimmable, and are outfitted with modern control and regulation technology. In this way, lighting strength is defined by the time of day, as is required in the DIN EN 12464-1, and can be easily controlled. With a beam angle of 180° and a nominal lifespan of more than 100 000 hours at 300 000 switch circles, our high-end fluorescent LED tubes are the ideal basis for cost-effective and secure parking lot lighting.
Our high-end, made-in-Germany LED parking lot lighting has a special benefit: It can be rented.

Rented Instead of Bought Lighting for Underground Parking Lots and Parking Garages

  • No product or liability risk
  • No preliminary or timely investments needed
